Terms of Service

Last updated: Draft of 2026-05-18.

1. Parties

These Terms govern your use of LexTech Lab (the “Service”), operated by the LexTech Lab entity established in the Republic of Mauritius (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

The Service provides Mauritian and UK legal-research tooling delivered as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector usable inside Claude, plus a website for signup, billing and connector-install instructions. The Service is provided as a Research Preview.

Not legal advice. The Service retrieves and surfaces legal information; it does not provide legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Always verify results against the official source instruments before relying on them.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. Where you indicate a Mauritian legal-practitioner capacity, you confirm any attestation requested at signup is true.

4. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service, attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls, scrape or resell the underlying corpus, or use the Service unlawfully.

5. Subscriptions, billing and trials

Paid tiers, free-tier tool allowances and any trial are described at signup and on the subscription page. Mauritian billing is processed through our Mauritius payment provider in the displayed currency.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service and its software. Source legal instruments remain the property of their respective authorities.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by Mauritian law. We are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on retrieved information that has not been independently verified.

8. Data protection

We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius. See the Privacy Notice for details.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms. You may close your account at any time; account deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Mauritian courts.
