Making Mauritian law accessible through AI
We are a small lab in Port Louis building research tools over the Mauritian legal corpus — legislation, regulations and the judgments of every court — and making them usable from the AI assistant a practitioner already works in.
Why we exist
Legal professionals in Mauritius deserve AI that understands Mauritian law — not tools trained on foreign jurisdictions and asked to guess at ours.
A model that has read the whole internet has still read almost none of the Supreme Court. The gap is not intelligence; it is the corpus. So we built the corpus, and the tools that read it properly.
The lab
LexTech Lab is built by Lex Tech & Design Ltd, a Mauritian company working at the intersection of legal practice and software. We are practitioners and engineers, and the corpus is curated by people who have had to cite from it.

LexTech Lab is offered as a research preview: coverage and functionality are still expanding, and the practitioners using it in real matters are the reason we know what to build next.
